English jetware tea service with gadroon moulded hexagons comprising 5 pieces: tea pot; stand; covered water jug; sugar; and creamer. The glaze is high gloss black with extensive gilt trim. The teapot has impressed numbers on the bottom and 'England'.
Overall the teapot is approximately 6 1/2 inches high (including lid) by 9 1/2 inches by 6 1/4 inches. The lid has a chip and there is a small chip on the spout. The stand is 7 1/2 inches across at widest point by 1 1/4 inches high. The water jug has a hinged pewter lid and measures approximately 7 inches high by 6 1/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches. The sugar bowl is 7 inches by 4 inches by 3 3/4 inches high including handles. The creamer is 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches by 4 inches high.
Very good condition for circa 1900 pieces. There is some wear to gold trim especially use wear on handles.
