Welcome to Maimeo's Memories!

Maimeo often gets a nostalgic feeling whenever she sees something that reminds her of happy times or happy places - her grandmother's house, high school and college hangouts, Paris in the spring, San Francisco in the summer and oh, so much more. Some people call this pleasant sense of deja vu "remembery." Maimeo likes to keep things around the house that remind her of those good times and it struck her that you might want to do the same. So she's gathered together things that evoke that nostalgic feeling in her, or (so they say) in her friends and family. And she's making them available to you. Take a few moments to look around here, Maimeo's virtual shop. If you happen to be in or near San Francisco, you can find Maimeo's Memories in the Antique and Design Mall. And think about the good times.

We haven't "moved in" just yet, so there's not much to see. But here's what we have on eBay right now:

In case you were wondering, "Maimeo" is the Irish word for granny (grandad is "Daideo"). It's often pronounced MAM-mo, but it's also heard as MAY-mo, and that's the pronunciation we use here. You ought to know, by the way, that's it's only one of the many words and phrases used in Ireland to describe a person's parent's mother: there's also:

seanmhaithar  *  máthair mhór  *  naing mhór  *  nan  *  nain *  nanny

- it mostly depends on what part of Ireland you're in. But Maimeo works almost anywhere, so that's what we use here.
